Where Is Etobicoke?

Etobicoke is one of seven suburbs of Toronto, nestled to the west of Bloor West Village of Old Toronto and east of Mississauga. In terms of convenience, no one could ask for a better location.

The area is served by the Gardiner Expressway, which makes it easy to get east or west. If you want to head north, hop onto the 427, which will take you to the 401, 400, or the 407. Better yet, skip the traffic and hop on the Go Train. Frequent service east and west makes for a relaxed commute, whether you’re headed to work or a night out in downtown Toronto. Wherever you need to go and when is easy from Etobicoke!

Ease of travel is imperative for high-end living. However, if you want to stay put, this section of Toronto makes an ideal staycation, with the gorgeous waterfront of Lake Ontario to the south! Convenience, scenery, and a one-of-a-kind shopping and dining scene are all right here in your neighbourhood.

Get to know Etobicoke even better in the posts below:

Stunning Neighbourhoods, Peaceful Scenery

Etobicoke has a laid-back feel that is far more relaxed than other areas of Toronto, especially the downtown core. It’s just a little less busy, a little less noisy– with all of the amenities and excitement that drew you to the city in the first place.

Picturesque neighbourhoods are well renowned for gorgeous scenery and peaceful streets, along with access to excellent public and private schools, which cements Etobicoke’s reputation as a family-friendly environment.

Classic Luxury, Upscale Living

Everyone might have an idea of what luxury living means, but there’s no denying Etobicoke’s appeal to affluent residents. Where are the most “officially luxurious” enclaves? You’ll find no shortage of high-end real estate options here.

Humber Valley Village is one of Toronto’s most enviable communities. Majestic homes on massive lots are a given, with ample amounts of living space. The area has a definite small-town feel where residents tend to get to know each other. Once someone finds a home here, they tend to stay for the long term.

The Kingsway is also one of Etobicoke’s most prestigious neighbourhoods. As one of the older areas in the city, it features premium real estate, with options ranging from classic century homes to custom, contemporary masterpieces. The area is rich with mature trees and foliage – you can alternate between relaxing in nature and exploring the bustling shopping district in Bloor West Village.

The twin neighbourhoods Princess Gardens and Princess Anne Manor were named after British royalty, and both offer gorgeous homes and an elevated lifestyle to match.

Waterfront Living: Not Just a Dream Anymore

Imagine living near the waterfront without necessarily investing millions of dollars into Etobicoke real estate! In relatively affordable areas like Mimico, your dreams could potentially become a reality at a more accessible price point than you may anticipate.

That’s not to say that this neighbourhood doesn’t have its share of luxurious or completely renovated and remodelled homes – because there are plenty of properties that have been almost entirely rebuilt. However, there is also a mix of older homes, bungalows, and townhouses that make the area accessible to those with lower budgets.

Living in Mimico means being close to Lake Ontario, and there is also plenty of excitement in the community, with a host of shops and restaurants along Lakeshore Boulevard West.
